LUKE SAYERS & ELLEN CHERRY IN MARCH

Hey Readers! Uhm, many of you may have noticed that my website has been 'not up', which is sorta the opposite of having an ass kickin' super cool website ain't it, how embarassing, anyhow, I just have not had the time or the inspiration to revamp my site. So, I am gonna rely on my blog here for awhile until I get myself moving on my website. I do have an mp3 page up, ask me about it. Oh, and all the old pages are still in place. Am I confusing the subject? I intend to.

For those of you seeking quiet mellow articulate beautiful songwriting we have LUKE SAYERS FRIDAY MARCH 23 8PM he will come to the cafe with an accordian player and armed with great songs - he was the 1st place winner in the Great Lakes Songwriter competition. He is ALSO a GREAT stand-up bass player which you would not know (and you probably won't find out during this show) -- unless of course you get his CD....so how about that

And, the next week UCA will host ELLEN CHERRY THURSDAY MARCH 29 8PM for an evening of illuminated songcraft....Ellen writes sweet songs that are very pretty and unpretentious.

Hmmm, and what else have I been listening too ? How about these guys The Western States Motel - yep, this is yummy, i can dig it over and over again

And try out the most recent recordings from Mirandas Moon - these songs have TONNES of good sounds, they are packed with rockin' goodnesses, eclectic shifting grooves, and clever tones...and, yes, after all the hard work that went into these songs, the boys are STILL giving em' away for free as high quality MP3 files ... what good boys! Mom should be proud to say the least!!

Oh and last but not least by any stretch of the imagination I must send a big thank you to Dave Kiss and Pork Records (gosh, maybe he will even see this) for the inspiration to create pretty CD packages ... Dave, you are just what I needed!! The Winter Sampler CURE THE COMMON COLD is realy good, for lots of reasons, and although I already like many of the musicians on the CD's before I heard the songs on the Winter Sampler...I think I learned to like Derek Deprator from this CD...anyhow, thanks Dave dude.
