A big warm thank you to the friendly and talented artists who graced the stage on the very first night of the Westside Arabica Open Mic, everything went just fine and could not have been any more pleasant if Neil Young himself had stopped by to play a set. It’s so nice to have such a polite and groovy bunch of Cleveland artist friends turn up for the first night; we had sets from Mary Clare, Xela, Jim Snively and Lenny, Unsub, Mark Sherepita, and my co-host Tim Fry. Fortunately, everyone who showed up to play was able to play, although we ran just a little longer than we had planned too, wrapping things up at just about 10PM as the bar tenders were turning down the lights! I hope that you will drop in to play one of the remaining three Wednesday night sessions in January so that we can do the whole thing again – and if you do plan on doing so, drop me an email to let me know to expect you. If everything continues to go well, then perhaps the Open Mic Night will continue into the month of Feburary.
